How do I use an Hex Editor to Modify the Size of the Flash File

Okay I have a 2mb flash file but i only want to use from 0020000-0030000,<br />what settings fo i need on the hex editor to be able to do this.

I am using Hex Workshop 3.1

Easy. Open the flash file in hex w/s go to edit... goto... set the ofset to hex and type in 100000 then click go Hold sift and press end then press delete. Done

U can also use any file Shredder.<br />U can Trancate the file into any sizes u want ..<br />just type "File Shredder" in any search Engine , u'll find tons of these files...

I still don`understand.What should I do to make from full flash (0020000-0040000) two files one from 0020000 to 003d000 and second from 003d000 to 0040000.

To AboAli I try to find file shredder like you say but only what I find is programs that "destroy" file.

to Format1:<br />Using Shredders u can Truncate the MCUPPM from the Full Flash,

and also I faced some Problems in flashing 4Mbytes into 6210 and 3330 with 4M.fls so I truncated the files into two separate files (2M bar fls)<br />and every thing goes correct.

<br />try file Shredder Ver. 3.02 will Truncate the file without Distortion or Headers.<br />I'll downloaded here:

Also you say that program will split files.Will I be able to split full flash to two parts one from 00200000 to 003d0000 and second from 003d0000 to 00400000 or I could only split full flash (2Mb) to two files by 1Mb.?

I hope you understand what I mean.

the Shredder can't exactly Split the Eprom side from the Full flash , but U can manage it, but after u run the Shredder ,, Okay !!<br /> for any help mail me I'll tell u how to do this with Shredder.
