Unhappy how to make partials?

where can i find info on what to do in making partials for unlocking? i have been comparing files from unlocked phones with the partial files already made for them and see usually 2 differences but what should be changed? what should it be changed to? why does this make a difference? etc. i know the partial only makes the phone not check if its unlocked, not actually unlock it but want to find out more. seems theres no information about this though many thanks

links dead i guess its just a hex editor in any case which i have.
i know how to read a section from the phone, what i want to do is make the partial. not just copy it from an unlocked phone.
like for 3310 4.19
000004A3 in original is 2C
but is 4E in the partisl
000008F3 is 2C in the original
and 0A in partial
for 3310 4.19
00000C3B is 10 in original
and 32 in partial
00001056 is 7B in original
and 7A in partial
00001057 is 10 in original
and ee in partial
i need info on why these values are different and what to look for in an unlocked MCU so i can edit it for unlock. i know partials are always available thanks to a few people but id like to know for myself why this works

many thanks VsH.
still the question though, how do you make a patrial? i see many people moaning about giving things for free, how they risk their phones for making us free software and solutions but yet they wont give a small idea on how it works. im prepaired to do the work, dont get me wrong, i dont want "do this, do this then do this" in a reply. just an idea of why and how or a link to explanations

How would that work? I thought all MCU files of a paticular version were the same be they from a locked phone or a unlocked phone? Unlocking by partial just alter's the MCU so that it doesn't check the lock status!

Question is how do you know where to patch the MCU?

Cheers, Laupster

i have been comparing files but dont see anything to say where to patch or how/why to patch
read the MCU from an unlocked phone, cut the address's of the unlocking partial from the unlocked MCU and compared (so it was an unlock partial and a relock partial). found usually two differences but the question is why? what do the changes do? aparently they stop the phone checking if its locked on startup but how do you make sence of the hex/ascii values to know this particular section is checking for locks? and how does changing the value alter this. read on here that you have to alter a different value just so the checksum doesnt alter
