Need to open lock 4 of 3310 v4.45!! Help!

My friend is asking me to unlock his phone. He accidentally locked lock 4 of his 3310 while playing with his phone. Here is the readout while using Nokia tool:

Lock 1: 51503 Closed (Smart Telecommunications)<br />Lock 2: 0000 Open<br />Lock 3: 0000 Open<br />Lock 4: 000FFFFFFF Closed

I need to open only lock4 because he wants to preserve lock 1 for warranty purposes. Any ideas on how to do it? I tried solution at gsmschwantz but it doesn not work. I also tried opening using 3310v445 fls, close lock one using nokia tool without pressing "ok" button, then reflashing original fls but phone still relocks itself to 1 and 4. Any suggestions please? I'm desperate!!!

Hello philkho<br />I thing your problem is not so big to panic you <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <br />I have the same problem is the past and I solved 100 , following these instructions i found in old topics in our forum.<br />Read and do the followings.<br /><br />For Lock 1 & 4 <br />If your phone is locked by lock 4 or lock 1+4 you need a other solution. <br />If you use only the nokiatool to relock it will not work.<br />So the member "jan" has a great idea to solve this problem.<br />First read original partial flash from 28-29 or 29-2A like i explain it above. <br />Than open locks with unlocked partial.<br />Use the cracked Winlock 1.10 soft and press read phone.<br />Than fill the fields at lock 1 and lock 4 with "????...", set lock 1 and lock 4 to close and press the "Close SimLocks" bottom.<br />Than flash back the original partial. Your phone is now relocked to lock 1 and lock 4 with "FFFF..." and works 100% fine!!

Tried that. IT doesn't work. Phone reverts back to lock 1 and 4 as stated on my 1st post.

Just Flash it with the right partial, no more is needed, but you must use Flasher cable !!!

Normally data cable don't work.

Hi!

If you want to unlock and then re-lock it again... then use the following.... i think this will help you... I presume you have a flasher cable??? (You need both flasher and MBUS cables...) i strongly suggest you make a backup...

1st- read flash as it is right now, adr: 00280000 to 00290000... save it to secure location... size is 64kbs

2nd- write patched (unlocked) parcial to phone, adrs: 00280000;

3rd- open winlock and in 1st lock put "51503"... <br />and in 4th lock put ?????? in it and press close simlocks....;

4th- flash original partial back to the phone... the one you did in step 1...

That should do it... but you will have 1+4 lock closed in phone... but 4th lock is the same has beeing unlocked because it will accept any sim card from Smart Telecommunications...
