Nokia 2100 Contact service - GSM-Forum

Can somebody help me here, my cell phone has contact service sign. Because of gaming... I've already tried fixing it, I tried full flash on it but still contact service. what will i do? i use Knok-phoenix toll to full flash it but nothing works.. after full flashing it, I've try also flashing the MCU and the eeeprom, after i flash the MCU and eeeprom the cell is dead. Can somebody instruct me how to fix my cellphone 2100 what is the tool i use and what would be the first thing to do? please help me.

Hi,

1. With KNOK write *.fls files to the phone: MCU, PPM and EEPROM+PMM. Be carefull with start adresses!!!

2. After EEPROM flashing, the phone - IMEI is damaged. You need to change curent IMEI with proper IMEI. You make change IMEI via MBUS cable with any program - KNOK 2003, Nokia Tools, Nokia eeprom tools and many more...

3. After change IMEI you need set FAID, clear SP locks, set factory defaults with same programs via MBUS cable.

2100 start-end adresses:

MCU: 00200000-00360000

PPM: 00360000-003F0000

EEPROM+PMM:003F0000-00400000

no need write all that ...just write a full flash and then MCU...

now change IMEI and update faid and clear locks...

go to:

http://www.freegsmteam.biz/stahuj.ph.../original&s1=1

download version 2.41
run .exe
go to folder where soft was decompresed
in files - unchecked "read only" if needed
connect dejan lite flasher to LPT port
LPT port must be in bidirectional mode, not SPP!
if all - OK, start Knok (2100 new flash types supported needed)
go to "Misk"
go to "convert Wintesla to fls"
make convert MCU file and PPM file with desired language
flash phone with MCU and PPM files in *.fls format
conect phone to MBUS COM cable
RUN any program: Knok, Nokia Tool, Nokia eeprom tool, Nc_calc...
power on the phone
check the proper COM port
read phone
repair IMEI
clear SP locks
set FAID
set factory defaults
