Nokia 3330 no ringer - GSM-Forum

M8 has a nokia 3330.He returned to to Nokia and they said "unrepairable due to water damage" .I opened it up and no sign of physical damage.It works perfectly except no ringer,the keypad tones work, it vibrates on an incoming call but it will make no sound either on a incoming call or when flickig through ringtones etc.Any suggestions please.

please check the ic u206 from the pin 6 to the buzzer point is it broken, if yes just use a jumper to connect back.

thanks for your reply m8,opened phone up couldn't find anything wrong,put phone back together and it worked fine ???, must have been a bad contact on the buzzer

Well, if the Nokia was turned OFF when being watered, then u have a chance .... if it was ON .. then - no chance. It's dead.

hi guys
i had the same problem, the phone was droped in water
i did a sonic bath didnt find any physical damage on the circuit
canged the ringer, but no success, the phone just simply doesnt ring
should i give up on this phone ??????????

all you need to do is solder a small wire from pin 6 to pad. all the details and pics are in your mailbox, any other probs give me a shout m8.
