Nokia 5110 "SIM CARD REJECTED" - GSM-Forum

Hi!

I have problem. I buy phone. Phone is unlock, but working with simcard one operator. Other simcards others operators don't works. Firmware version was 5.07. In nokia tool is MCC+MNC 00000 F open GID 1 0000 F open GID 2 0000 F open MSIN 0000000000 F open

I try reflashing phone to version 5.30 and unlocking with partial flash, but still is same problem. All locks in nokia tool is the same like was befor flashing. What is wrong? Please help me.

Hi

Have you check your SIM card ? It may dirty ?

VsH is right.

The problem is with your SIM CARD. If nokia phone is locked ! it writes SIM CARD NOT ACCEPTED. If there is problem with SIM CARD (damaged or something else) it writes SIM CARD REJECTED. try another SIMCARD <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

NO sim cards are not bad - I mean.

I have the same problem .

1)5110 (old version) never repaired, locked ok by operator.And one time said: "SIM CARD NOT ACCEPTED"

2)I opened lock and mobile accept SIM of second operator? OK

3)Sim of the third operator - phone said "INSERT SIM CARD?

But for What it All, I dont know....

(Flash was OK, eeprom not tested)

 Maybe can be bad cell in EEPROM 24c16 - try to read it.

How is repair cell in EEPROM 24c16? Sim card is O.K. I try 4 sim card from one operator, but phone still say SIM CARD REJECTED.

Please send me, if you have eeprom dump from working Nokia 5110. I have see programator. I try reprograme eeprom <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

sorry for the late reply. there is everythink that you need on the site. i'll send you my eeprom data *.bin but the imei is wrong.
