hello

hi all

how can i calculate the PPM checksum in nokia 5210 i have tried to translate from english to albanien and after select the albanien lenguage the phone restart and freezz or bllok the key pad

I have trie to fix the checksume with
GENOLITE 1.8
PPMMANAGER
PPMFIXER
checsum fixer
and checsum killer

but the sam result

P.S i have make update faid and SFR

Hi

The freezing/restarting is not because of the PPM checksum. You should update FAID to solve the problem.

try flashing 5210 with knok,, works many time for me,,,
freezes when i flash with rolis but ok when flashed with knok...

also use total tool by rolis 1.8,, which worked for me..
do post results.

this solution work only with normal flash file but i have edit the lenguage and not work

any logical explaination for this ??? i think it does not matter if u write flash with either....it will be just the same thing....it will hang only if there is a hardware problem or if there is some BUG in the flash file itself... not if u write it with knok or rolis...

1. Make fullflash buckup with eeprom from working phone (i use ver 5.18)
2. Flash phone with it by knok
3 Use rolis 1.8 to change IME& and update FAID.

I make 2 phones.
