Nokia 7110 v4.88 upgrade problems!

I have nokia 7110 v4.88 and dejan 1.04 ,but when I try to upgrade phone to 5.01 or 4.95 phone does not work correctly I must return it to its original version.Have somebody had simular problem with this phone?By the way this is not the first nokia 7110 with the same problem , language change works but software upgrade is not working. I am having problems just with nokia 7110 all other models are working ok.

I have tried reseting phone but I have the same problem it does not upgrade.

I have exactly the same problem. If I upgrade SW on a 7110 with 4.88 and lower to 4.94, 5.00 or 5.01, I have problems like the phone turns off and reboots or has no signal after a while. A service guy told me that there are two HW versions of this phone out on the market.

I also have seen 7110 SW version 5.01 with one release date from last year and also 5.01 with a newer release date from this year so it must have been a SW problem. I didn't pay much attention to that but now I think that it is SW problem that is causing that. We should find a 7110 with 5.01 2001 release, read full flash and make MCU&PPM with Dejan 1.04 and try to upgrade the phone with this. Maybe 4.94 and 5.00 also have renewed 2001 releases

I believe this would solve the reboot or bad working problem.

I will try to get another nokia with another language pack and try it with this 4.88 , but now I am begining to think that this Nokia can not be upgraded ,there must be somekind of software or hardware problem .I will try again and if I make something I will post it on the forum.

Yesterday I had a same problem but with two N3310 from D2 network. Versions were 4.18 & 4.19. It was unlocked (i did it few months ago) and now I want to upgrade it and change language with Dejan v1.02 box. After upgrading to 4.35 it was without signal and restarting itself after 30-60 sec. At the end of the flashing (when box calculate cheksum the box shows massage

"Bad signature! Maybe this phone is a new product?!"

instead of showing "done". The box counter don't increased number. I tried to upgrade it to 4.24 - now it has the signal but it was unstable. Finaly i flash it to 4.19 but with different language and now it seems to be OK.<br />After each flashing i did "Apply SFS" with newnokiatool. <br />With same MCU&PPM files v4.35 i flash N3310 v 4.24 and it works perfect.

Anyone has some sugestion or advice?
