security code for 3310 - GSM-Forum

Hi to everyone as im a new member.

I just bought a 3310 for my niece and it requests the security code. I tried the default 12345 and that doesnt work. I got back to the person who sold me it and they said all phones need to be unlocked to be able to use them. I have never had this problem when selling my own phones. They said the phone is locked to one sim. I dont know what to do now.

Please if anyone can help get in touch.

just reprogram the software
if you want fast,just reset factory setting using your software.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I dont have phone software or would even know what to do if i did. I thought someone in this forum might be able to tell me how to reset the security code back to default so i can give my niece this phone. I purchased it through ebay and the seller told me (after the fact) that it needs unlocking. They failed to tell me until after i bought a sim on the same network. Otherwise i wouldnt of purchased for O2. When you turn the phone on it wants the security code. I have tried the default 12345 but someone has obviously changed it. The seller says they didnt and wont give me the code. I just wondered if anyone could tell me how to do it without wasting anymore money.

I appreciate any help
