Member: 5154 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | sorry me again still need MBUS diag for 3210 but could anyone tell me what exactly the IC MAX 232 is and component 78L05 I normally dont have problems with this type of thing but this has got me. i went to my local component store thinking they would know but they didnt but the guy didnt seem to clever, I know I will probably feel stupid when someone tells me and kick myself but please help! |

Member: 2806 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Weel you where right about the guy in the shop,he wasnt very bright The max232 is a standard ic, and is no problem to get a hold of,as for the other component you wondered about,its also very easy to get hold of(dont know what its called in english, its a "transistor" in swedish) Good luck /Leeloo |

Member: 2492 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Sorry, but 78L05 isnīt it a transistor in Sweeden is the same thing that in Spain. This component is a tension regulator +5V output. Is used to supply the Max232. Regards ReZn0r |

Member: 5154 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks ReZn0r I have found a version of max232 ic and now it is obvious to me what the mystery component was I dont know why i didnt suss it out before and have decided that i will buy one from RS components thanks for your help. but if ACE_UK can tell me where i can buy this box it may save me the bother of making one cheers. |
