Post Wet 7110 CS MCU ROM error

My brother's 7110 4.88 got wet and started to double blink and shows CS. The same happens when connecting to the charger.
The phone was never flashed and never had a simlock.
I browsed the hardware repair section, found similar topic, so checked the phone with MBUS and PC Locals the output looks like this (I skipped the OK results):
MCU ROM checksum test Failed(Err code 1)
MCU Ram component test Not executed
MCU EEprom Component Not executed
RTC Backup battery test Not executed
AD converter test Not executed
SW reset test Not executed
IMEI test Not executed
SIM lock check test Not executed
Although Nokia Service Centre wrote the repair of the phone is too expensive, I am not convinced, because I know NSCs are sick of repairing 7110s here (also this suited me - the phone was insured).
I understand there is a chance to fix it by flashing with 4.88 soft. But I am completely new to dejan flashing (don't even have a cable yet)and have some questions:
- Should I make a full backup? I see people taking partial backups but I prefer to be on the safe side, can I use just a part of the full backup when something goes wrong?
- What next? I have got 4.88 partial (64k), but that is probably not enough. Should I look for full backup and flash some address of the phone?
- What about the language version? Does it matter? It had Polish, English and German, but I do not remember what else (I do not know how to check it now)

Best regards
******z Szczurek

It's common sw fault that I've met in 4.88 version
So flash MCU ROM image the same version
then you phone will be repaired

WBR
Crew
P/S don't forget to make full backup 200000-600000
of your phone
