Does anyone actually know what to do? I've never had the misfortune of coming accros this before, but if I did, what could I do? (for eeprom emualated phones).

So lets say I had a buggered 7110, i use someone elses 20000-60000 and then change the IMEI number and that is it?

How do I change the number? Is NFREE capable of doing this?

It would have to be same sw version I think, and yes NFREE can do it.

Forget IMEI changing!!
I you overwrite the phone eeprom area, wont be help you to rewrite the phone's original IMEIs and recalculate eeprom chk! Your phone wont find network! Cause FAID is failt.

So you have to recalculate it! But it only can with boxes and remote IMEI change function via net for about 50 USD. So, at cheap phones not worth to do this! Its reamain spare parts only

Hello Nick A,

I tried this writing of another good phone eeprom data to a phone with corrupted eeprom data many times before, and here are some of the results:

on 3310 (eeprom emulated)

Eeprom data from same version same ppm pack uploaded to another phone eeprom are will end up all "locks closed and which can't be open",changing of "IMEI" using NFree, still will end up with the above result.
on 3210(eeprom on seperate chip)

Eeprom data from same version, same ppm pack written to another phone eeprom "didn't" end with all locks closed, but it "can't receive network", eventhough you'll update "FAID" and change its "IMEI"....

But, BPH & Co have "some" solution for this "corrupted" eeprom area problem...just mail them if you need more info about it.
BR,

neb
