can someone explain what a dongle is? and also where can i buy nu2000 v1.17 ??

a dongle is a hardware protection key that plugs into ur parallel port and the program reads a chip from it and doesnt run if not present

is there a dongle emulator around? such as a program that reads the content from an original dongle and then if the program searches for it, it can be emulated?

It is not so easy way!

The dongels give back the PC programs not a simple data. These data also calculated in the dongel upon that data was sent to the dongel from the PC/phone. So the dongels stores functions not data only. The funcions cant be read from the dongel <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> (until this time..)

In the glossary of our book we describe a Dongle as

"An anti-piracy measure introduced by developers for ensuring that their software can only be used on a computer that has the appropriate hardware dongle connected to the Parallel Port. "

Some dongles connect to the USB port, but these are quite rare.

Dongle emulators often cause major problems, fo example the emulator used in the cracked siemens SL45 unlocker program will often prevent Nokia unlockers from working.
