Hi,
Sorry but this is not possible. Once the phone has 5.57 it can not
be downgraded to lower version.

it seems that griffin has some kind of "automatic-unlock-algo-update-routine" build in.

Griffin can not unlock this version at this moment, but Griffin can downgrade sw version and then unlock

Hi, Does this means when you upgrade 8310 to 5.57, you CANNOT DOWNGRADE it anymore??? I thought we can down/upgrade DCT4 phones nowadays...

Yes we can downgrade... and no problem unlocking even with the
original neelix2, or any stand-alone flasher/unlocker for any version of 8310.

Hello Guys,

8310-5.57 cannot be unlocked easily with using JIC or any other
unlocker that uses same unlock trick with JIC or Starwars.

For 8310-5.57, if you try to unlock this, you will get an error
message "Error in SP Command" or something like it.

However, I noticed that trying to unlock these HIGH versions will
not damage the phone.

How to unlock this? Just downgrade to 8310 version 5.55 and
unlock the phone using free software. Somebody told me that
if you try to upgrade the phone again to version 5.57 after
unlocking, the phone will be locked again... I dont know how
true it this, but as far as I know this has something to do with
Lock Level 5 which is implemented in new higher versions...
But dont take my word for it, it is better to stick with version 5.55!

- China input improvement: in SMS editor "?" is shown instead of an empty "box"
