Nokia 3200 Accidently Locked? Has this happened to anyone else? - GSM-Forum

Can someone please help me on this, Cingular and Nokia tech support haven't...

A couple nights ago I had my Nokia 3200b plugged into my computer via DCU-5 cable. To try and get it to connect, I turned the phone off, then back on. The phone then said phone restricted and asked for a restiction code, and I haven't been able to use it since.

I don't believe the phone is locked because I used Wind and Vodafone SIMs in it when I was in Europe this summer, and its been only on Cingular since then. When I insert my Wind SIM, it asks for PIN code, when I input it, it again says phone is restricted.

Any ideas?

I have the same problem - have tried some unlock codes - but no idea what network the phone would be locked to (if any) Hoping for an easy solution on this one

I have no hardware to flash/access phone etc.. only DCU-5 cable (USB type) Any help greatly appreciated!

Hi

I have seen this a few times with phones that had UEM damage..

Try to press *#06# and see..The ones i had that suddenly was locked had serial ????????????? ..

Only once have i had one that had locked itself and could be unlocked, this was a 7260 that had been dropped into a toilet. It also had a strange provider but a full flash and reupload of good PM and unlock and it was running again..
