Problem with 6230i, need advice

Hello, it's much time since i post my last message here, but i need advice from an up to date ppl here.

My girlfriend's 6230i v3.40 has strange behaviour.

Battery discharges fast, if the phone is powered on while charging it never stops charge process, is always charging. If phone is charging while powered off in about an hour or 1 and half it stops.

Have someone of you noticed this before? Phone is brand new, i exchanged 6230i battery with my 6630 battery to discard battery problem and her battery works ok in my 6630 and my battery acts wierd too in her 6230i.

Can this be Sw problem? Remember it's V3.40

Can her SIMcard (it's super old and super slow accessing simcard) drain so quantity of power to make the phone be unable to complete charging process while powerd on?

Any advice is wellcomed.

Thanks to all who spend time reading and good year '06
Trier.

Update, forget about SIMCard, i tested exchanging with mine and problem persists, it's 6230i problem. Just to guess if it's SW or HW.

Never a priest solved these kind of issues

Phone is brand new, just opened from box, so no water damaged. I'll try to make nokia service have a look at it under warranty.

Nokia service reflashed the unit and the problem disappeared.

But if i change connection profile in GPRS menu and set it to "Always Active" problem is back again. Just set back to "Only when needed" and phone stops charging.

xtrange but true.
