Problem with JIC free DCT4 unlocker - GSM-Forum

I have the JIC DCT4 unlocker. I have used this program sucsessfully on my windows 98 laptop and have unlocked several phones. I tried to use an exact copy of the software i was using, with the same cable on my mates pc, also win98. Every time i press unlock and the program tries to set test mode, the phone turns off and the program comes up with an error message saying 'error reading original imei'

Now i know its not the phone, software or cable, because i unlocked it earlier on my laptop. So what could be the problem? We also tried it on my mates win 95 laptop with exactly the same problem. PLEASE HELP!!

Which cable you use? M-bus or f-bus?

I have a auto F/M-bus cable, with same problem...

i am using a pure mbus cable. It works fine with other pure mbus only programs such as eeprom tools by b phreaks. The only solution i have found is to use a different unlocker. The program i have found to work is the DCT4 unlocker cracked by cyber. Mabye you will all experience similar sucsess with this program.
