Problems to flash N Gage QD Demo unit - GSM-Forum

Hi,
i have a n gage qd demo unit, so some device features are limited or blocked, for example to make calls or send sms. now i want to flash it that i can use it like a normal n gage qd. if i check the software with *#0000# there stand P 03.06 05-04-2004 RH-29. i have a griffin box and if i want to flash the phone i get this text: "Phone data:
V SLSW_3_06/05-04-2004/RH-29/(c) NMP.
IMEI 353359000128622
Product Code 0516345
Initializing Phone...
Error[BBAA6600]"

Now i don't know what to do, i hope somebody can help me.

which connector? i've tested all connectors, but i get still the same error. is it possible that the fia files are old or something? i think the connections are ok.

no need to flash it, only upload PM file from working phone. thats all.

I think the demo units have a one way writable chip so it can't be reflashed, attempting to do so is terminal. I found that the hard way with a demo 7210 I had a while ago. A costly blunder.

Dont know how it works with QD, but i had N-gage 1 demo and my problem solved by just uploading PM file from full working phone. (including resets)

Hey Yoda, did you use phoenix or griffin? I also have an old demo n-gage which I would like to upgrade.

I have used MATRIX, but it have to work on all flashers that can upload PM values. Now using MATRIX+TWISTER
