Unhappy Unlock By IMEI: Problem!

Hi,

Got someone's 7650 unlock code for them from a code supplier, and was given the right IMEI's unlock code, but for T-mobile instead of Orange. Anyway, obviously it didn't work, on many ocassions.
Now, got the right code for Orange (So I believe)... HOWEVER, no matter what, right or wrong, the code will notunlock the phone, just the message 'NOT ALLOWED'.
I belive this is because the wrong code was inserted more than a few times, but could be wrong.

Any solutions?

Regards

Ehmmm, not sure maybe a full factory reset by phoniex or any other one which can do it or pay for a log and do it that way.

Yeh, they're the two things I thought of, although I was hoping to use AFD instead of trying to set Phoenix up.

I would like to know if I can definitely sort it myself first, before it is sent to me and time and money is wasted (Costly postage on 7650 lol)

Cheers

Oh, that I would say are the only ways, you have the 7650 cable for afd then try a reset (must be a reset bit on there, I don't know as I don't have one), if not it's log time if you have that cable not sure who's doing them now only J as far as I know.

Ehumm might not as most would check what network the phone was on in the first place (bit harsh but you would), I would say the log will work as it would re-write the info in the eeprom, again can't say for sure on that but if it's any thing like the dct-3 way it will. (take a unlocked dct-3 phone and look at the eeprom in hex, then unlock it and look at it again you will see it has changed).

Hey, enough of your smart comments! lol
You really think I, yes me, RudeYute would do something as stupid as not check the network?

It was a fault as the code suppliers end, who will not be named!

Knowing you and you knowing me (hopefully) you know that was not aimed at you Oh Great One , anyway back to the topic I would have to say log to fix or a trip to service center and maybe a few days with out the phone to be done.

Any way let us know if you get it done and how as it would help the rest if this ever happends again.

Hi,

You definetly need to upload default SP data using the good old
way by connecting wires

This will fix the counter as well.

Best Regards

Cheers Alex.

Looks like it's gonna cost me another £20ish. (For log and postage both ways).... What a bad couple of days I've had!

How can we enter the unlock code in 7650. I also have 7650 which shows the error " Sim Card rejected " and nothing else so where i can enter the unlocking code? is there some special mode where we can enter its code?
