Who can teach me how to flash?

Hi,
Can you please teach me how I can flash/unlock mobiles?
What equipment do I need?
I read that after flashing I
must repair IMEI, Update FAID and clear SPlocks to get out the Contact Service.
WHat does all those mean and how I can repair IMEI, Update FAID and clear SPlocks?
Many thanks for help

I asked the same question but in a different way about a nokia 3390. Looks like we might not get any help. There isn't any tutorials posted in that section so I guess we have to cross are fingers and hope someone will help. I've downloaded software I read I would need. Conflicting stories I've seen about needing/not needing cables. Might just be easier to pay for this or just give up. Ah I'm so confussed! haha! :=)

to flash a phone you will need dtc3 for nokia dct3 of course flash cable for dct4 buy a box, with knok for example and cable flasher the one who connects on LPT with the phone off select the correct flash file and then power on, for solving imei and other things is more complex but dejan have a good for dct3 too.

buy a griffin box .. it comes with all s/w and cables you need and instructions ...

fastest .. easiest .. surest method .....

other than just going to your local Nokia Service Center ....

and i have ALSO experienced that the Nokia Service Center is actually CHEAPER than the LOCAL phone shops ...go fiqure
