Could you explain more please? I have the same problem with a 6101, it seems a common problem with them.

What are "flat connections" ?

i had the same problem with my girlfriend's phone (nokia 6101).. and yeap.. you guys were right.. it was the flex cable.. apparently it was a bit loose.. so no big harms..
i took apart the lower flip part (where the keypad is, from behind).. and i unhooked the flex cable and reflowed it.. and plugged it back.. and that was it.. the camera started to work again..
If anyone is not sure how to do this.. google for a full housing installation for this phone.. and you'll be able to take your 6101 apart..
And, if that doesnt fix your problem.. my guessing would be either you will have to check the upper flip part (to see if the camera is well connected) or get a new flex cable..
cheers
