I've a new 6111 and its display blinks each 5 seconds aprox. I've updated software, but still the same problem. Anybody has any idea for repairing it?

try change a new ribbon.

Ok, I'll try to change flex. I though that there isn't any problem with flex, as the problem is that the display blinks each 5 sec aprox (always the same time) and you can open and close the phone, and nothing strange happens.

Just try this .....do format user area....with any box you have.then reply.

This phone I think don't have user area to be formated

This phone's not Symbian, so you can't format it.

You can try to flash it with another cable. I have same problem too and solved when i change another cable.

Well i think if the person having problem...try to fix it this way and then post results is better....by the way i know its not Symbian.

6111 power on and after 20 or 30 seconde shut down can any body post solution plz i have flash my phone mcu+ppm+cnt and i have change the flat but not solve my problem ...?

chek ESD filter on up PCB near to lcd con

I solved the problem with shuting down each few minutes or seconds just by opening the phone and cleaning the area arond the cable! The phone works 4 months regulary!

I had the same problem, LCD blinking white every 5 seconds, I changed the LCD and now the phone works OK.
