6210 water damage - lcd fault - GSM-Forum

I have a 6210 with slight water damage, works fine except lower part of lcd is not working. Ive checked and cleaned contact strip.
Any suggestions for repair appreciated.

Hi!

Maybe the ultrasonic cleaner, hot air and flux will be help.

what you mean "lower part of lcd"?did you try to change lcd??

Thanks for the replies. I haven't tried a new lcd as I was under the impression that water wouldn't really do any damage to it, I thought it was sealed. I may be wrong tho.
By lower part of the LCD I mean you can read the top 3/4 of the screen but the bottom 1/4 is faded out.
There is minimal corrosion on the board, just a few caps near the top of the board have had water around them. Ive cleaned the affected areas with isopropol.
