6510 saying insert sim allways. - GSM-Forum

i´m not sure if really the phone was wet or under water but seems something like taht, i replaced some resistor and capacitor but no result. Sim pins are good all seems work properly but allways message "insert sim", can someone tell me if can be software problem? anyway noboy touch the phone, no flash and no unlocked.

Alright, let's try this - on the right hand side of the sim-card connector, you will see a small resistor. Change that, and I'm quite sure it'll solve your problem......at least, it solved mine!!

Try reballing / reflowing CCONT. I think that controls the SIM

i have no service manual for this phone, i have only level 2 for this but it has no plotter imagery, no reapir hints, then i thought maybe was similar to a 8310. I changed vline resistor 200k because this resistor , i think was fault, it had no resistance, the other resistor i have changed is the resetline, if is similar to a 8310 must be near o 4M, was fault too, i changed for one of 3310 i find in a broken one. But i´m going like blind people because i don´t know if really the measure of resistor is good and not even if the fault consist in those resistor.

I´m trying to look for service manual.

Try replacing the gold square resistor on the right side of the sim reader. IF that doesn't solve your problem then UEM is faulty.

I solved that problem like Hanukkah,and Daytona ,at 8310.
