Hi Keke, I have the same problem. After the phone dropped keys 2,5,8 won't work. There are 2 small black chips in the bottom area of the pcb. I believe that this could be the problem because one of the chips seems to be chiped on the edge...? Sorry, I dont have their names....still looking for schematics! Regards AFR |
Thanks for your reply Check pm |

he he replace the key chip its from glass 100% tha works best regards keany |
which one is the key chip?? is it one of those 2 chips near the keypad connector?? thanks tonytony |
U can change this keypad driver from nokia 3650(glass) near keypad connector |
ok guys, the problem is really in the two BGA chips near the keypad connector. I was able to fix many of these whenever I had another 6600 to use as a donor. They are protection ICs similar to the one in 8310 near the sim connector. In 8310 we are able to take the chip off and put 3 shortcuts on the pins. Here it should be the same. The question is: what is the shcematic?   |
Key chip you all mention above called key filter. |
yes as KIRIAZY said ( try the litlle crystal under the keypad connector it works 100% |
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ( try the litlle crystal under the keypad connector it works 100%??? HEAT IT, REMOVE IT, OR REPLACE IT?? DOES ANY HAVE SCHEMATIC TO PUT 3 SHORTS INSTEAD OF REPLACING SINCE NEW FILTER IS NOT AVAILABLE!! TONYTONY |
