To check this out flash your phone with latest mcu+ppm + write good pm. If screen still blank try putting the phone on with simcard and check if phone is booting ok then try making/receiving calls. If making calls ok then hardware problem near the display area( no problem from uem/upp flash ics).

2) hardware problem ;

check the display connector (do the basic servicing) check the lines from the circuit diagram and see if all is ok.

if all is ok then change the ic (glass type) below the display connector and check if it solves your problem.

3) If every thing above fails u can (like good technicians do) blame the problem on the upp/uem.
