8850 no net when lights go off!!! - GSM-Forum

Hi
Only when phone is switched on it finds network but when the lights go out even net dessapear. I have allready changed 32khz,16mhz,vco,ccont,pa,diplexer,1st & 2nd filters,reball cobba & hagar,reflow flash & cpu. Still the same problem! What else can i do, please?

P.S. Same prob with a 3330.

First of all, when dealing with network probs, You have to check roughly what is wrong: RX, TX, or both...

On That phone, obviously, You missing TX ( approx. when led's go out Your phone looses network... That means no TX - phone can not register to network, can not send IMEI, IMSI and other data, only RX is working ).

When You flash good firmware, eeprom and recalibrate RF then You can test it with wintesla ... Put phone in TX mode and check if there is output... Try to follow TX signals ( TXIQ, TXDET, etc... ) . Consult level 3+4 service manuals and You will find troubleshooting diagrams, steps to perform and a lots of other useful hints...

i write a virgin eeprom, write imei, update faid twice still the same!
