deja flash curcuit not working - GSM-Forum

hy my problem is as follows i have build a deja flasher circuit the diagram said to use a 74HC14 ic but can get a hold on one yet so i been using a 74LS14 for the pass four day-night i been trying to get it working buT NOT CHANCE, I HAVE USED SEVERAL SOFTWARE TO RE-FLASH MY 8210 VER 5.21 from jethro 3.11 and many more still not responding the erro code is NO RESPONCE TX=1 OR TX=0 i can read the phone version and locks using logomanager and other software with mbus cable i know i can buy a proper flash cable but is no fun.the phone is lock to orange sim and provider i bouth the phone for spare as i allready owned a 8210 ver 5.16.but my wife now need a phone and i am trying to fix this one for her.
ps i have mail order maplin this mornig for the right chip.

Hi M8,
The chip is not immportant. You can use even 74HC04, my one use it and I have no problem.
My advice is to properly check the connections and could be a simple mistake.
Try another computer or check the supply voltage on the chip should be at least 3 - 4 volts.

My best advise is to read the archive of this forum from december to march. I lot of people had this problem and explained in details how to fix it.
