Member: 12660 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Hi mark845 your on the right track you only need to make an *.ask file if you want to keep the same IMEI number , If not then scrap that Idea the hardest part is removing the UEM as it is glued (underfill) If you succesfully remove it without damaging the board then the rest is simple try use bga adhesive remover then replace with blank UEM then when connected to your box it should go into local mode (NOKIA) on LCD then write UEM with asic 5 *.rpl you might need to unlock it as well even though it does it after writing UEM but I find sometimes you have to do it manually like on 3200 WBR D. |

Member: 12660 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | @ mark845 You only need to make an *.Ask file if you want a specific IMEI or the original one back you can upload any asic5 *.rpl the the 6600 and then it will have the imei of the *.rpl file you wrote to it and this of course can only be done one time Regards D. |

Member: 12660 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Hi cellcity When you have the handset connected to the Tornado you click on the Read Uem button then you will get a pop up box where it asks if the IMEI is correct your's should have ??????????????? then you need to enter the correct IMEI from the back casing of the handset you cannot remove cable from phone for this purpose or else it won't complete the *.Ask file so write down the number you might also need to enter the product code as well Regards D. |
