Member: 19208 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | How to use solder ball instead of solder paste? I have no problem with using solder paste! May be I am not that expert, so I always end-up with a mess and need to redo 2-3 times to complete a BGA job! I am trying to use solder ball to reduce the mess, but I just realize that I have no idea how to position all the solder balls on the UEM before I apply hot air to it! My question is, how to poistion the tiny solder balls on the UEM before I apply hot-air? Thanks Kenny |

I use the chinese kit with the balls, but the quality is very poor compared to looks of this one. Iam talking about the actual loading tray, a lot of balls are wasted. here it looks like you can pick up excess balls. When using balls, very important to use honey tacky flux because hot air will **** them off the BGA and liquid flux will bubble too much and they will move off pads. |
