power with power supply and verify the temperature of components, use limiter of current to 500 mA. In most cases have a diode in paralel with power supply line, to protect angainst inversion of polarity, and this diode be shorted.

easy and simple way is if any ic short than it must be heated it might be that it would not heat upto burning level, initally put the hard flux on the doubtful component connect the handset to the power even with charger after few minute you will find the hard flux is melting on the component which is heating. now the problem solve remove the component and measure.

Is it a complete short circuit like 0 Ohm ?
or is it just a high consumption ?

Check the thing with the flux at the RAP3G

Or even put the phone on 6V then hold the power on button then check with your finger which ic is heating !

I'd say it's about the RAP3G but check around where you seen some water damage !

Regards
Jack

if the handset shows 0 ohms in battery terminals, may be any of the components that connected to battery (+) terminal get shorted to ground.

1.PA-N7502
2.PA dc/dc convertor-N7504
3.HINKU-N7500
4.VINKU-N7501
5.CAMERA REG-N1472,N1470,N7505
6.dc/dc convertor for flash light-N1471
7.LED driver-N2301
8.TAHVO-N2300
9. APE REG-N4201
10. SMPS-N4200
11. RETU-N2200

these are the components in N70 which connected directly to battery,
