N73 Battery Drain within 10 hours - GSM-Forum

I have a Nokia N73(Made in Finland).Last week its joy stick stuck and i had to replace it with a new one.Now the battery lasts for 8 - 10 hours only.Earleir it lasted for more than 2 days.I have flashed it thinking that its a virus problem.Tried with another two batteries but the result is same .Found that my battery has no problem because it works well when inserted into my friend's N73.What should I do to get around this problem of too much energy consumption ?
NB:When I inspected the battery contacts on the phone i saw that the thermistor contact is little shorter than the other two.Is it a problem?
Any help is appreciated.Thanks in advance.

I have replaced the keypad along with the joy stick and now my N73 works fine and the battery lasts for more than two days.Battery drained fast just beaucse the keypad was not good .
