It's R103 short. Just remove it from pcb. 100% tested.

Chuk,

Why not you remove L100 ,then plug charger, and measure voltage R103 both side TO MAKE SURE THAT R103 DEAD ?

Just remove it ?
if R103 dead, have to replace it ,,, can not just remove it !

I agree with You. But You no need to place it, because it just peak voltage protection (approx. 30V).

Ofcourse, better to replace it, but if You'll use original charger - all will be OK without it. Problem is not in replaceing or removeing - problem is where to get new one.... (old and dead phones is not the solution).

Why I need remove L100, when I can measure R103 resistance?

PS: This is one little thing (R103), that missing in 3210 troubleshoots from Nokia. May be problem in it? We need good repair instructions!!!!! We can't think sometimes (not for You, Willy).

If You remove R103 from this PCB and measure it, You'll see, that I'm right, Satelite hacker.....

Satelite hacker Chuk

maybe you are right .

@It's R103 short. Just remove it from pcb. 100% tested.

remove L100, it mean to cut off line connect from FUSE to CHAPS , then when you can plug a charger , and make test that "short" or not !

If You have SHORTED circuit between + and Gnd of charger, there are 6 component You must check only:
R103, C114, C163, C108, C100, N101.

I test on working 3210 this short circuit exist (F100 and down side of R103)

Yes, but one side only (not grounded).

Are You shure, that You remove R103, but not L100? Visually, there are the same.

If You have short circuit after N101 (10 Ohm between VCHOUT and Gnd) - check C122 (10u/10v)
