Member: 677854 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nokia 6101 problem 1. The mini-screen: The mini-screen seems to be acting as if the clamshell is open. The image and time is inverted/upside down when the phone is closed and obviously appears rightside up when the phone is open and i'm talking on it. If i recall correctly the image should invert itself upon the opening and closing of the clamshell. I also concluded that the phone does not disconnect calls upon closing of the clamshell (my girlfriend informed me she heard me put the phone away in my pocket after i had finished the conversation). 2. Phone vibrating when in ring mode: I really have no clue about this. This is a much bigger mystery to me than the mini-screen but maybe they're both connected. Both the userinterface and keyboard seem to be connected securely by the coaxial cable. What has happened to my phone!? on a side note. I've reached the conclusion that the mini-display problem is being caused by something having to do with the phone sensing that it's open. How does a clam shell work anyways? I've always wondered how this model disconnects when there is no little button that is pushed when the clamshell is closed (like on a laptop for example). Where is the phone's sensor for the hinge? ANY help will be GREATTLY appreciated! thanks! -ryan |

Member: 869387 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 40 | my friend, see that on the original housing that you changed there is a small rectangular metal piece based on what the phone translates the shell position (open/closed) - based on a Hall sensor. Find it and mount it on the new housing on the same position, it will work. Also, re-check if the flex connectors are well fixed. Goodluck. |
