Member: 74892 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 |  nokia 6210 - now doing auto shutdown Recharged the other day - fine. Came to turn on next morning, found the on/off button had no effect. Slid battery out, and on replacing the phone switched on by itself!  Now pressing any button [except the on/off!] causes the main menu to pop up, and the phone to switch off by itself.  I also note that the battery is discharging at an abnormally high rate - so I have pulled it. I seem to remember reading something along the lines of this prob some time ago [at least one year] Any Tech let me know what is wrong, and how to correct please? [I'm happy to wield the fine soldering iron if necessary, as without doing so my phone will remain an expensive paper weight!  ]many thanks in advance  Peter |
