TDF4 and FPS4 - GSM-Forum

I have some questions concerning these hardwares TDF4 & FPS4.
What is the difference between these two?
What man can do with the FPS4 prommer?
Can man flash nokia phones with this FPS4?
How to use the program for FPS4 which can be downloaded from some peges on the net?
As I think the problem for flashing Nokia phones is a software one not Hardware one ,I mean right program that can calculate the imei and the checksums as a first step,then.........every thing will be possible with wintesla or patched one.
Just thinking loudly!!!!!!!!!

FPS-4 is used to update software in the phone.
TDF-4 is Security Box for update. ( TDF-4 must be activated before using )

First PC sent new soft to FPS-4 then FPS-4 flash the phone.

I think they need the FPS-4 box and the the right image file,and it should flash the phone without the TDF-4.

As I know image files for nokia are like firmware (self don´t have anyone yet),you can manage (flash)any nokia phone by PFS-4.

Try something easy before totaly kill the phone! Flash without security box only language ( 6110 start form C0000 to FFFFF ) and try to log on the net. :-) Then restore original language pack! Phone will be back online.

Sorry for later answer! This two week I have work to do ( build WAN network :-) )
On subject. I have a frend with strange hobby - f**kup GSM phones. He have FPS-4, software to flash nokias and file with language pack. When he flash phone without TDF-4 phone is still working, but don't log to net ( phone can't registred to GSM Network ). Then flash again with old language pack - all is OK. This gay tell me where is language information for 6110. I thing, he know more about flash files but it's very hard to get information ( 'this information cost a bottle of Jack').

Hi Rossend,
Can you ask your friend to make a good .log
file of all commands sent and received on FBus - Tx, Rx and MBus, at least for the first 1000 - 2000 msec, please. So he can get a good quantity of 'Jack' devivered directly to his door.

Not too easy!

I don't know if is to easy to spy the communications because is at fast
speed.
MBUS is used as CLOCK, all data are going to Fbus.
You can't use the software without proper interface (not an RS232-TTL), only
Nokia FPS-4.
The only chance is to disassembly the flash software.... I don't have the
developer for MAD processor
