ATMEL IC exchange to INTEL IC?! - GSM-Forum

Hello,friends!
Today I made experiment.I have a V50 working(thanks to Porter) with ATMEL flash memory IC.
And I exchange IC to INTEL F320C3TC (from Siemens).Result: phone in low level mode, flash ID 00000000.
Ask me, please, who are exchange ATMEL to INTEL from another V50(V51)?Phone alive?Or this solution a fake?

Check connection flash chip with PCB (i see you ID=0000000).
I also made experiment to exchange ATMEL IC to INTEL F320 (from motorola timeport) and flash with full (repair) flash and with testpoint. All V50 work very well.

Flash ic change always working, but you need bottom boot block type of flash, not top boot type!
F320C3TC is top boot block type (008988C4), pemaster will not flash, only 00898897 flash ID (for use F320C3TC flash ic, need to modify pemaster and flash file for flashing this chip)

I think you killed CPU if flash ID is 00000000 ! (possible wrong soldering too)
Try to resolder original Atmel flash ic and power on the phone! If result hot CPU, you need change CPU too

With test point easy to kill CPU ! Need little trick to protect CPU

You need to use 320C3BC flash IC for replace Atmel in V50, but at all flash ID 00...000 mean bad soldered or damaged flash chip

For replace ATMEL IC , you need IntelF320B3B work 100%.Tested.
