L7 unlock help


I have unlocked several L7 with smart clip and worked fine...recently i am having this problem>>>smart moto>>>
Clip serial: #######, version: 2.24, initializing... OK
Searching for phone... found Motorola Phone (L7 iTunes), getting test interface... OK
Model L7
Firmware R4517_G_08.C4.1ER
Reading info OK
Switching to flash mode... OK [S Flash Neptune LTE2]
Reading phone boot version... A.20
Boot prepare... failed


I am not sure what is happening...any suggestions? Please HELP!!!!!

havent been able to unlock any L7s recently.....

use test point -detect phone - pres unlock

I did use Tp..it recognizes the phone everything is ok till i hit "unlock via tp" switches to flash mode and then boot fails...

You need to disconect tespoint after Smart Moto is conectet with Phone.Try and post result.

ive disconnected the TP after smart moto connects with the phone...same result...

open the phone remove ....the metal ..slowly....very danger....to touche ....after this neded test poin ....connecte the cable connecte battrie ok after this connecte presse serche in soft smartmoto....after connected with soft disconnect the tp ok.... and just presse unlock via tp ................voila......

I have followed that step by step...the problem is not that...it is when it tries to prepare boot to send...it is failing then... not that its not recognizing the phone...

Sounds like your not getting the testpoint right

Connect testpoint before connecting battery
then search in smartmoto

Phone should be detected as "S Blank Neptune" and then switch to flash

if phones detected as L7 testpoint hasnt worked

you mite not need to connect battery atall, you dont with L6`s, havnt tried with L7

I am on the right TP...i just tried what u recommended GMN...without battery, smart moto wont recognize the phone...I am using the TP off the picture from boot-loader.com...ver2...i dont kno what else i can do?

there are 2 diff testpoint pics for L7, somethings not right

you mite have the correct testpoint but for some reason its not making the contact correctly. keep trying untill phones detected as "S Blank Neptune" then remove test point. and unlock

but if the tp wasnt right or making a connection, then smart moto wouldnt even recognize the phone at all right? it would just say no phone found...Is anyone else running into this problem or any problem unlocking the L7? Please help...thanks
