MOTOROLA V3 dead, only keyboard lights !!?? - GSM-Forum

Hi !!!

I have problem with V3 motorola. When push POWER button, only keyboard lights, and nothing happens. Sometimes when I remove and then put back the battery, keyboard lights without pressing power button. Battery is OK, there are no signs of water damage (I open it !) and there are no signs of physical damage of the board. When I put PCB module from another phone (V3), it works (means, displays and tracks are OK). Smart clip does NOT found it when I try to flash it, and it goes NOT in flash mode (* , # i POWER ON).

Any sugestion ??!!

What is force flash cable? I have same problem with one V3...

the baterie is full charged???? i have de same problem in mpx220. baterie is 1/2 and the phone don´t power on

..when i put a full baterie the phone is alive again :d

My friend battery full is first step for repair......with full battery same problem

try to flash with newer version it might works.i had same problem before and i fixed it.
remember v3 not allow to downgrade.

How to put phone in flash mode ? How to flash ? What is force flash cable ?

Battery is fully charged on other phone, so it has to be OK !!

P.S. If keypad does NOT lights, when I put cable in, it lights ??!!

key light must be on.connect your phone to computer using v3 cable.use the MultiFlashFlex.exe which is in the pst program.this program will automatic turn your phone into flash mode.

when you put cable in, it lights.it means battery in charge.it's normal

This is 100% sw problem, but i must send to motorola service for repair and only sw. I play with this V3 3 hour and nothing, full battery, USB cable, with flash mode etc and nothig, only error send bootloader to phone.....

yr phone like to be in flash mode
but USB need driver to make a connection but in some case u can`t install driver in flash mode
for be sure about cable use old serial cable with connect pins 13&14 i think
it is to slow in flash but working without driver but i don`t know what`s program u use wih serial cable ,i think u can use smart-clip and make a serial cable for it GND and RX and TX and shorted pin with RJ-45 i just thinking for solution i didn`t test that
