Smart-Clip upgrade procedure

Power on the Smart-Clip and E/G indicator will light green.
Power on the phone without SIM card and flash card (if present).
Connect phone to Smart-Clip and press the "Unlock" button ( red on older clips ).
E/G indicator will light green and go off, the phone will switch off (some models will automatically turn on then).
E/G will light green on success or red on error
Successful unlock resets User Code to 1234, Security Code to 000000

SmartMoto should find "S Blank Paragon POG", or "S Blank Rainbow POG"
Disconnect testpoint
Open unlock tab in SmartMoto
Select A1000 from phone models list
Press "unlock via testpoint"
The handset is unlocked & ready to be assembled.

Please remember:
During testpoint unlocking procedure phone's LCD must be disconnected.
Do not use hot air fan to remove a metal shield on PCB. This can seriously damage the handset.
Use any other alternative tool to cut or drill it. Please make sure you do not damage the board.

Unlocking V3 (boot ver.8.26)You need to use SmartMoto to unlock these models.
Power on the phone.
Connect it to PC via smart-clip, detect your phone in SmartMoto.
Go to Unlock bookmark, pick your model, press "Remove RSA" button.
Phone goes into boot mode.
Part of phone firmware is reflashed.
The phone powers on and is ready to be unlocked by Smart-Clip using simple "press one button" method (press Unlock button on Smart-Clip).

Unlocking V1050, V975 (ver R245_xxx) (inc. boot 0.6.1.2) and others models with boot 0.6.3.1You need to use SmartMoto to unlock these models.
Power on the phone.
Connect it to PC via smart-clip, detect your phone in SmartMoto.
Go to Unlock bookmark, pick your model, press "Remove RSA" button.
Phone goes into boot mode, reserve copy of security area is created.
Part of phone firmware is reflashed.
Phone doesn't power on after that. SmartMoto will give you the message requiring to take phone into boot mode using keys combination: *,#, PWR ON (at this moment the phone has to be connected by usb cable) or using Repairing cable.
Press "OK" button. Wait till the process ends.
The phone powers on and is ready to be unlocked by Smart-Clip using simple "press one button" method (press Unlock button on Smart-Clip).

V18x/V22x/C65x/C38x/E375/E378i (newer versions), C975/C980/V980/E1000 (Boot Loader 0.6.1.2) unlocking noteUnlocking newer versions of V18x/V22x/C65x/C38x/E375/E378i or C975/C980/V980/E1000 (Boot Loader 0.6.1.2) may require additional user intervention.
It may happen that E/G led still blinks after display turns off - it means that you have to turn the phone ON manually within 2-3 seconds after display turns off; alternatively you can try to unlock this newer version of V18x/V22x/C65x/C38x/E375/E378i with battery charger on.




Unlock procedure for A920/A925/A1000Power the phone on.
Connect the phone to a powered clip. Phone display should give "USB cable connected" message.
Press UNLOCK button on the clip.
Phone reloads. Within 5-10 seconds phone display gives "Waiting for PST" message.
Press 1 and 2 keys simultaneously in upper part of the handset. The phone enters boot mode (if you don't press these 2 keys during "Waiting for PST" message, the clip will give red E/G led and you will have to start with step 1 again).
After A and B keys have been pressed E/G green led will blink and phone reboots. Meanwhile E/G will give frequent green blinking and phone will turn on.
Do not disconnect cell phone from Smart-Clip while green led indicator blinks!
Green E/G led glows. The cell phone is unlocked.

Axxx/Exxx/Vxxx unlocking noteDon't unplug cable right after phone reboot, wait until E/G led stops blinking!

Please remember:

Don't desolder fro TP

there is a safer way than desoldering. Use a sharp stiff blade, have a look at the photo where the TP is. Draw on the tin where it is lining it up using picture http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...okr+test+point
the tin is very easy to cut. You can either cut a hole, I leave it as a flap, once done flip it back and put a tape over it. The white water dot is perfect for that.
