Member: 43714 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | @AZFAN (cc:Evilkilla) Because you use european flash/flex, so your cell phone doen't work for america service no matter if you change your cell into 850/1900. I did the same thing as you mentioned above. What we need is the flash/flex for america gsm service, it seems no one in this forum can provide these flash/flex. |

Member: 4873 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | i don't have a phone right now, i ask this because there is this one time a client bought his t720 cingular (U.S.A.?)... it is unlocked but cannot get 900/1800 frequency... I've downloaded the flex band_activate_900_1800mhz.zip from spunlock's site, i believe it is a victor file, I'd like to know if this flex file is a universal flex file for activating 900/1800 from other motorola models (V66,V70 etc..) and will serial cable (9v) be good for uploading flex? do I need to short pin 13/14? thanks for the reply |

Member: 43714 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | @trafix, The vic file for activing 900/1800 cannot be used for T720. Even if you can make a band change to 900/1800, you still cannot use it in other wirelss service provider than cingular, becaue it's locked to it. I have no idea if you can use it in 900/1800 network after unlocking the cell phone. I hope some one can give a report for band change (i.e. use a america T720 in Euro/Asia) after unlocking. |

Member: 4873 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | the phone that came my way was unlocked thus it accepts our local networks but it cant get any network due to 1900mhz... isn't t720 a tri-band phone? (or is not? i'm not quite sure) thus it should work on 900/1800/1900 right? |

Member: 43714 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | @trafix T720 is dual-band cell phone. You can change it to 900/1800 by entering the enginnering model. Following the below steps: enter "menu" and "048263*", then you will enter the enginnering model under "Opcode" input "10*0*3" for GSM 900 "10*0*4" for GSM 1800 "10*0*5" for GSM 1900 "10*0*6" for dual band GSM 900/1800 Report here or email me if you can make it work in your local networks. |
