v3 keypad not working - GSM-Forum

Hi guys a little advice got customers phone in , it was put through washing machine, i have revived phone everything works and all lights up but key board not working on any buttons. any help appreciated.

Hi mates,

If the keyboard pcb is well cleaned (No permanent short), try the keyboard fix flex. It is somewhere in this forum.

Replace the main keypad flex cable and all should be ok!!

I have same problem,revive the phone,but the keypad not working. Changed the flex cable,but keypad still not working...

resold the side button(volume key ect) your problem should b solve!!!!!

friends i have one v3 which the key pad is stuck,when i took the board and put it in another body its working good ,the point is when i changed the good board in the same v3 body the screen is not showing.i have tested the screen is good.any suggestions from the genious in this site?thank u in advance.

need help my v3 got water damaged i clean board and change keypad flex cable but 8 * 0 # bottons dont work , i put board on a good working phone but i get the same problem so its a hardware problem i dont know witch part to replace , any one kind to help out ans share about this problem

i had a v3 with keypad not work.i flashed with keypad fix and same .I made full flash and all was ok.

hi guys
today i had a v3 with keypads not working ........ boot version 8.26
i removed rsa and then unlocked it manually ..............
finally the kepads r working ...........
remmember that the mobile was working on the same sim card before also.
this prodecure was done only for key pad hanging......

keypad won't function are general complaint with V3 Razor;
1-please check the MB connector,LCD connector,Camera connector,U-sidekey connector;if anyone of it was liquid or shorted will caused the keypad no function. clean it will solve it.
2-power on and display "the voice-record full" "volum key up and dow",it caused by U-sidekey connector,it's under the Caller ID and easy liquid.
clean it or reassemble or rep a new!
3-power on and auto enter browser or wedsite it ccause by MB problen(sfotware problem).
4-if you have another complaint about it please let me know:[email protected]

i have keypad problem with key 8 and 2 simultaneously. when i powewr on the phone the key 8 will press itself continuosly and if key 8 is fixed 2 will take its place. have check the keypad and the connector. what could be the possible solution. tks in advance

I have a similar problem...lcdgot busted, replaced lcd...now keypad not working...if I push any button on keypad activates the camera...please any help would be appreciated..
