V3i continue pressing power button - GSM-Forum

Hello Guys,
I got a v3i (R47A) brought to me dead by someone trying to cut the tp area.
I repair & flash it and its working perfect.
When i was about to give the customer, the phone refuse to power unless i hold the power button continuesly. When ever i live the power button it goes off. Before was ok after the Flashing.
I try testing new keypad, still same problem. I then tried putting the board to another V3i it works great. But when i put any working board on the faulty body it still off when power button released.
what can be the cause?

PS: tested the lcd too and ok.

Did you replace the keyboard with one that have the itunes key??

try to clean the keypad and also check the flex and terminals.

I DONNO WAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT KEYPAD WITH V3I & V3ITUNE, BUT I TRIED ANOTHER KEYPAD AND IT WORKED.
I THINK THE FORMER ONE IS BAD OR IT IS WHAT YOU SAID TO BE NOT OF V3ITUNE.
But i'll like you to tell me what is the different between the keypads?

I've seen this kind of problem here at the repair shop and believe it or not it could be caused by a defective or partially liquid damaged screen assembly. Remember how the keypad/screen connector is used by the magic clips...well a short in just one of the lines could be causing your problem.
Just replace the screen assembly with a KNOWN good one and test again.
As a last resort try changing the entire keypad flex too.
Also try holding down power key for about 5 seconds and see if the display turns on.

Let me know the outcome.

THANKS FOR THIS INFOR BUT I HAVE SOLVE THE PROBLEM BY CHANGING KEYPAD.
I NOTICE YOUR OLD MEMBER BUT YOU DON'T POST. PLS BE ACTIVE SO YOU CAN HELP AND GET HELP.

i flash my v3i with flash file r47a but it was r49 bootloader 0.30 i flash it many times wid r47a but its still same then i repair pds then again flash with r47a but its still same as before stucked on screen bootloader showin only
