V500-->V600 and unlocking - GSM-Forum

Hi

I have a Motorola V500 that I am goind to turn into V600 as soon as I get the usb cable.

My phone is LOCKED. Will it remain locked if I update the phone or will updating the phone unlock it. The problem is that I can't get it unlocked now so if updating the phone won't unlock then I have to wait.

Also can I somehow remain the old language pack. The reason is that I want the danish Itap. Or can I the language packs for the V600 somewhere?

hi,

after upgrade/dowgrade the phone lock will still remain untouched,
if you want any specific lenguaje just flash your phone with correct file, no so hard,

So is the language and Itap language in the Flex or the firmware? I asume that you the will either have to find the Flex/firmware with the specifik language in? Or is that a file of its own? Last do you know were to find the language packs? Can't find em anywhere - not on motclub.com.

to be honest my v400 was locked when I originally got it... I odnt know how, but I flashed to v600, and applied the appropriate flex, and it did unlock my phone as well... sooo I dont know how that works but I made it!

i will like toget the v600 flash or flexs that u used to get your phone unlocked, i am loosing too much money on these phones, friendship starts from somwhere and i know nothing comes free. reach me on [email protected] thanks

hi,

I doubt exist a flex to unlock triplets, all simlock upgrades (flexes) I had seen are for lock..

get the v600 firmware and flex, and apply them... I tested it, and my phone is now unlocked. Like I said, I dont know how that all works, but I can make calls with my t-mobile simcard now.

nothing new... by the way, once the phone is updated it keeps American Spanish, not same that 0039 (Spanish), so get ready to "ingresar pin" and other mexican words..XD
