Hi to all Guys ,

Can you tell me where can I buy a JTAG interface , and how to use it for fixing dead phones ?

hi ,
- buy, no problem
www.ebay.com , price for xds510 is at 300 USd to 1500 USd in TI .
-how - it's problem.
- in new uP must use static JTAG.
- in old uP must use dynamic JTAG like XDS510.
- only new phones have interface to JTAG in version 1149.1, res tuse old interface 1139.1.
in example ACER T205 use 1139.1 and xds510.

Hi 205T ,

Thank you for the help , this is what I find in www.ebay.com " Texas Instruments JTAG XDS510 PC/WS 3/5V Target Cable for XDS510 and XDS510WS emulators.
Is this what I need , can I use it to fix DSP in dead phones or still I need to have xds510 emulator ?

hi,
JTAG - to laser.
- 1 step.
must have good pinouts for u phone with all signals
TCK, TMS, TDO, TDI, nTRST like in service manual GD52/ GD92 Panasonic.
- 2 step.
JTAG from firm of software ex: T205 software ( for JTAG ) is 2988.exe or DMtools 3.1, this software need JTAG XDS510 + POD
interface 3/5 V. ( last price for complete is about 200 USD ).
- 3 step.
check if all signal connect to processor, in factory after low-level-downloading sometimes cut this connection.
- remember, JTAG working with clock 10 MHz.

Hi 205T ,

Thank you for the help , but I think I need to study or to know this matter in more details , because I realy can't understand every thing you wrote here , but I need a solution for dead motorola mobiles very badly .

1- the price from ebay just for JTAG without emulator .
2- I need a full set and all the details step by step how to use it
3- I'm ready to buy it complete if you can or any other can help me in using this JTAG emulator .
