hi all need help with a rover R760 cassette player

ive got the pin/code for it its 1958 but when i press the pre-program button 1 it does nothing and its the 1 without a display screen any ideas and thank you in advance

all im wanting to do is put the code in lol ive got the manual and the code but still aint got a clue cheers all

Rover R750

code entry
After switching on the radio will display ROVER followed by CODE. Press station preset 1 and enter first code digit using station increment/decrement keys. Follow the same procedure for the remaining three code digits, finally pressing preset 1 once more to enter the code.

it hasnt got a display mate its the 1 without a display and ive tried that but no joy however when i press a few and keep pressing it will beep once but thats all ive had out of it so havent got a clue please some 1 help lol and thanks mate

and its the rover R760 not the Rover R750 lol cheers
