mmc password recovery after phone format - GSM-Forum

hi all respected members and experts ,nowdays mmc password problem is very common .i tried all the tricks and after getting failed go to gaffar mkt and there in only 150rs. and 2minutes one guy fixed that card and put a new password.this means there is some software available .but i m unable to find that one everyone says that the only solution is 9210i version6.00 and format but how come that guys r doing password retrieval without data loss.this is a matter of great curiosity for me .although i searched hours for solution on net many forums many sites but no success.any body can throw some light on this please..all replies will be appreciated...regards

just use nokia 9100i and format the MMC card the password will be fired

afaik.. only nokia 9210i can fix this problem...

yes thats correct only 9210i can solve the problem go to office --- filemanager---press menu----the fivth one is memory card there is option to format the memory card with out prompting for any password but all the data on the card will be lost and it take may be 10 min for 256 MB card. so be aware of that.

IF u got the same mobile that use to set the password to the memory card it can be easily covered by ur self just install any explorer to the mobile open the C: that is phone memory goto c:\system\ and search the mmcstore*.* then send this file to computer by infra or bluetooth and open that file in TEXT editor/notepad they show u the password in use carefully the MMC card and the mobile must be same for this purpose.
