N70 Restart Help

Hi All, both me and a friend both just recently had our phones upgraded to N70's and both phones have developed a habit of rebooting themselves on their own with no sort of pattern. It could be up to 5 times a day when the screen just shows the nokia symbol and then it comes back on.

Does anyone know of a fix for this or know of an app that counts how many times the phone has been restarted so I can show the salesman.

Thanx

i think u must install a antivirus software for both the mobile phones and od a virus check if found something try to backup ur contacts and also backup any images from ur phone memory and od a soft reset of your phone ..

The code for soft resetting is *#7370# and when ur asked to enter the security number enter 12345 , this is the default number if u have changed the security number then type that number maybe this can help u

Try to use it without memory card inserted to isolate the problem because sometimes that is due to memory card compatibility. I encountered that kind of problem before, I even upgraded the firmware version to the latest available but the problem is still there 'till I replaced the memory. Originally installed memory card was 128mb then I replaced it with 64mb. Result.... no more restarting problem.

Hi I have the latest Symantec virus software installed and running with the latest files and it finds nothing wrong.

Possible cause however, my friend has bog standard memory card in his and mine is a 1gb one. Both phones still do the same. But I'll give it a go anyway.

install a fileman application on your phone.then go to search and enter this keys *.sis and go to search the sis files, then erase all the sis files which you think that you have not downloaded in your phone or those sis files that u cant read coz those are viruses.remove them using the file manager.after removing them using the file manager use the anti_comwarrior to remove the remaining viruses.
