This software lets you convert a DVD to your phone and watch it in great quality in full screen landscape mode. A memorycard as small as 128 Mb is sufficient to store a full length feature film. You can watch your DVDs on the go, on any Nokia Series 60-phone, from a postage stamp size memory card.


The software installs an encoding package on your Windows XP computer, you insert a DVD in the drive and with only two clicks, the software turns it into a super small movie file, which will play on a special mediaplayer on the phone. The headset or the built-in speaker can be used to listen to the sound. Subtitled and foreign language DVDs are also supported. Feature films look crisp and sharp on the phone and still fit on a relatively small multimedia card. The free tryout version allows users to convert 5 minutes of a DVD.

DVDPlayer is a full screen video player for Series 60
phones.

If you want to play DVD movies, the first step is to rip
the DVD into an AVI file using any DVD ripper program.
To convert an existing AVI file into the supported format
use a freeware program VirtualDub. Using VirtualDub to
convert an 16x9 movie file to the supported format: ?

* open the movie file (File / Open video file...)
* set Audio / Full processing mode
* Audio / Conversion: 16000 Hz, 16 bit, mono
* Audio / Compression: MPEG Layer 3, 20 kbps, 16 kHz
* set Video / Framerate / Frame rate conversion: Process
every other frame (or set it to 15 fps)
* in Video / Filters:
* Add: 2:1 reduction (high quality), press OK
* bottom right: Cropping: X1 = 100, X2 = 100, OK
* Add: Resize, New width = 208, New height = 150,
Expand frame and letterbox image, Frame width = 208,

MathZ is the most versatile scientific calculator:
its function buttons can be customized to perform all the calculations you need: you can modify the name, formula, position and color of each button in the way that suits best your needs and habits. A total of 36 buttons are available, on two pages (turned with the jogdial).
it features a general equation solver, where the user enters an equation with up to 6 variables or parameters and lets the application build up a table of the names and values of the variables. The table operates like a 'magic' work sheet, where each cell is both a data input cell and a calculated cell: the user sets values for any variables and asks for the calculation of any other. The package includes a few samples, but you can add your own and record an unlimited number of equations...
the formula interpreter supports a wide list of scientific functions (log, ln, sin, cos, asin, abs, int, fact,...), an unlimited number of parenthesis, the numbers 'pi' and 'e'. It also supports multiple variables, like you would use e.g. for the conversion of feet + inches to centimeters, and free naming of variables.
with the combination of customized function buttons and solver equations, each user can turn MathZ into his own specialist's calculator.
The calculator supports standard algebraic calculation mode and RPN (Reverse Polish Notation), with a 6 level stack display. It supports input and display of numbers in the scientific format xxxxxE+yy.
