TomTom.Mobile.v6.02 question

Hi All
Question for anyone running TomTom.Mobile.v6.02 sucexssfully
I've tried to install a few different versions of Tom Tom on to my N73s memory card, when I try to start it up, it gets stuck on the white splash screen with the rotating globe and Goes no further.

Since then I have tried a few different copies of Tom Tom from verious sources and always end up with the same fault, stuck on the splash screen.

The last version I tried, is a version I know a freind is running with no problems on an n73, so what's my problem?

I'm wondering, is it because I dont have any maps installed yet?

I was also given ttnavigator.bif and POI.dat files, should I have done somthing with these?

Any sugestions as to what my problem is, or better still has anyone else seen this fault.

Cheers

you need to copy the folder TomTom that was in the rar file, should be under a folder called MMC. It just has all the voices files in there. Even if you have the old tomtom version copy the VOICES folder into the root dir of your mem card and rename it to Tomtom now put ur fone off, switch it on an run tomtom ,it should go past the splash screen. But i have some bad news, there seems to be a problem with the new version of the tomtom, personally i dont really think there is any difference at all with this and the previous 1 apart from the fact that this 1 seems to lag big time, womans voice lags or gets stuck during routes, the map doesnt load up properly as ur driving so ur not upto date an ur relying on the voice most of the time. I am going to put the old 1 back on and put the new map on that and see hw that is

Nice one! past that hurdle now.

Do you hae any idea what ttnavigator.bif and POI.dat are, and where they would go?

And where do you copy map and POI files to?

Change your date back to 2006, install and reset it back to 2007.
